Breanne Krause

President

Breanne is a fourth year at UCSC studying both Film and Digital Media with a Production Concentration and Business Management Economics. She is the chapters current President. In past years, she has served as both Treasurer and Public Relations Director. When asked why she wanted to serve as an officer she responded, "I really enjoy being apart of the organization. I want to be able to help shape the chapter for future generations while inspiring students to achieve and flourish in the same environment I have." Valentin Urena Baltazar

Vice President

Valentin is a fourth year at UCSC majoring in Physics and Chemistry. As the chapter's vice president he hopes to develop new ways for the student population to help out the Santa Cruz community and to create a community at UCSC of students that strive to achieve the Golden Key pillars of academics, leadership and service. He is an affiliate of Oakes college and the transfer community as well as a UC LEADS scholar. He hopes to pursue a career in research in the field of condensed matter physics and wants to go onto graduate school next fall. Seiichi Gordon-Wakamatsu

Treasurer

Seiichi is a fourth year at UCSC studying History. He is the chapters current Treasurer. In past years, he has served as chapter Secretary. When asked why he wanted to serve as an officer he responded, "I decided to become an officer in Golden Key for different reasons. One, Golden Key is an organization that preaches academic excellence, which i find important. Secondly, Golden Key is an active student organization on and off campus and I wanted to become active within my community. Becoming an officer felt like a great way to take action and make my most out of my UCSC experience. I hope to gain experience and a deeper understanding of what it means to be an active participant in a community as I take my position as secretary for this chapter of Golden Key." Eva Lomazov

Secretary

Eva is a fourth year at UCSC studying Computer Science, Economics and Statistics. She is the chapter's current Secretary. Though she is new to Golden Key, she is extremely excited to help make this club the best it can be. When asked why she wanted to serve as an officer she responded, "Being in a leadership position for an academic organization, really inspires me to do my very best and help other students achieve and flourish." She is affiliated with Crown College. Fun fact about her is that she dances West Coast Swing and is even competing in Belgium in January. Matthew Carter

Campus and Community Outreach Director

Matthew is a third year student in the process of earning a Bachelor's in History (Asia and the Islamic World) and Anthropology (Archaeology). He is the Campus Community Outreach Director and looks forward to potentially serving as the Historian. Matthew finds happiness and fulfillment in being able to help students learn and find their confidence to reach further and work harder. He hopes that his trials and tenacity can serve to encourage others. A fun fact about Matthew is that he will be attending a full-year study abroad program in New Zealand for 2018.

Tiffany Martins

Public Relations Director

Tiffany is a fourth year student at UCSC studying Sociology. As the chapters Public Relations Director, she hopes to ensure all current and prospect members are up to date with events and relations pertaining to the organization. As a first generation college student, she understands the importance of being informed of the resources available that could provide information on personal/professional growth, scholarships and volunteer opportunities. Tiffany has volunteered for an organization called City Year, which helps to provide the resources needed for the academic success of students in areas of high-poverty where funding for education is very low. This experience has taught her the true value of empowerment through academic success and she hopes to implement that as the Public Relations Director to help members feels supported. She is also an Oakes affiliate and transferred to UCSC Fall of 2016. Tiffany hopes to continue onto graduate school where she plans to conduct research on the effects of gentrification on student self-esteem and success. Jared Semana

New Member Engagement Director

Jared is a second year at UCSC studying Politics with a concentration on political theory. He is the chapter's current New Membership Engagement Coordinator. When asked why he wanted to serve as an officer he responded, "I wanted to be a resource towards other dedicated student leaders, as so many others have done for me." Sara Sanchez

Primary On Campus Advisor

Sara Sanchez is the Advisor for the UC Santa Cruz (UCSC) Chapter of Golden Key Honor Society. At UCSC Sara is the Coordinator of Undergraduate Honors and Research Opportunities. As Advisor, Sara serves as a resource for the Golden Key officers and general membership. Sara arrived to UCSC in February 2016 from her previous position as Assistant Director and Program Coordinator at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln's (UNL) Office of Academic Success and Intercultural Services (OASIS). She held a number of professional positions in higher education prior to her work with OASIS, including work as summer bridge coordinator for UNL's TRIO/Upward Bound program, as a Graduate Assistant with UNL Career Services, and as Special Projects Coordinator for CSULB's Cal-SOAP program. She earned her bachelor's degree at California State University, Long Beach, with majors in Communication Studies and Spanish, and her master's degree at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in Educational Administration with a specialization in Student Affairs. In her free time Sara enjoys cooking, Zumba, yoga, exploring Santa Cruz, and volunteer work.

Dominique Sherrod

Regional Advisor

Dominique was born and raised in San Diego, CA. She attended the University of Cincinnati where she studied communications and public relations. In her free time she enjoys various outdoor activities and working out. Dancing helps Dominique deal with stress and she has never seen an episode of Game of Thrones.
